In a world of corporate, bland and wasteful gift pack offerings, TWELV. delivers a contemporary, thoughtful and unique alternative. TWELV. gift boxes are designed to be customised based on one of the 12 astrological signs, creating a highly memorable and personalised experience for any gift receiver. They contain thoughtfully curated luxury items, and are packaged with a custom tissue wrap and personalised card specific to the astrological sign.
We created an ethereal and otherworldly brand for the modern zodiac lover that reimagines the world of astrology in a contemporary way.
The name TWELV. is derived from the 12 zodiac signs. Using this as our starting point, we created a typographic system where each of the 12 signs is numbered according to the astrological chart. These are visually tied into the Twelv symbol, the roman numeral for the number twelve.
A strong use of typography is used through-out the brand, which utilises a calligraphic inspired sans-serif, nodding to the origin and history of astrology, but with a contemporary touch for a fashion-forward sensibility.
Looking at the zodiac world through a modern lens, we reimagined each of the 12 astrological symbols through an illustration style that utilises beautiful curves, negative space and symmetry. Each symbol references the zodiac signs we’re all familiar with, but are given a a modern abstraction to become uniquely ownable to TWELV. The symbols are further unified through the use of a subtle mystical star which appears as the eye in each illustration.
Each of the TWELV. brand colours have been selected for one of the 12 astrological signs. This palette enables brand outputs to be further personalised, and acts as a useful tool in differentiating communication pieces designed to speak to specific zodiacs.
Tying the brand together is a suite of brand imagery which showcase TWELV.’s range of products in an ethereal way. Gel lighting has been cleverly used to reference the night sky — the force that underpins astrology.
